San Pantaleo on the Corso Vittorio Emanuele is right next-door to the Museo di Roma in the Palazzo Braschi.
The first mention of a church on this site is from the 12th century. It was dedicated to Saint Pantaleon, martyr and patron saint of the medical profession.
In 1681 Pope Paul V gave the church to the congregation of the educational order of the Piarists and the church interior was redecorated in the Baroque style that can be seen today.
