Chiesa di Sant'Atanasio dei Greci is the Greek national church dedicated to Saint Athanasius on Via del Babuino not far from Piazza del Popolo.
It was designed by Giacomo del Porta and completed in 1583.

If the church is open take the opportunity to see two frescoes by Giuseppe Cesari. In the right transept is the Assumption of Our Lady, and opposite in the left transept, is the Crucifixion, both dating to 1590.
There are two original frescoes by Francesco Traballesi from 1584, the Annunciation, in the first chapel on the right, and Christ Amongst the Elders, opposite in the first chapel left.
